We always like to have fun, themed birthday parties for our kids. You may have seen our Circus party

We always like to have fun, themed birthday parties for our kids. You may have seen our Circus party and Gender glass fermenter Reveal party . We recently celebrated our second son’s first birthday and decided to do it in a Cookie Monster theme. We took some pictures in case you are throwing your own Cookie Monster party and need some ideas. Hope it helps!
Every party has to start with an invitation! We found these Cookie Monster cutouts on Etsy. We printed out cookies and put the party information on the back of the cookie, then we cut a slip in in Cookie Monster’s mouth and stuck the cookie in. The invitations were cute enough but we went one extra step and sprinkled cookie crumbs inside the envelopes. That way, when guests opened their invitation, Cookie Monster got crumbs all over the place. It was a fun little surprise.
A couple of side notes: The crumbs made the envelope a little thicker and the post office had to manually sort them rather than going down the automated line. This cost about 30 cents extra per envelope. The oil in the cookie crumbs also seeped into the envelope and gave them an ugly oily stain. We bought cheap envelopes at Walmart that were pretty glass fermenter thin but if you used a thicker, better quality envelope you might not have that issue.
The party started with a giant Cookie Monster greeting our guests at the door. He was supposed to be an inflatable Cookie Monster but after filling up all the other balloons for the party, we ran out of helium. This guy would have taken his own tank! So we just taped him to the door.
Cookies Monster movies – My husband always handles the entertainment for our parties. This time he found a bunch of Cookie Monster movie parodies on YouTube to play in the background of the party. glass fermenter He made a YouTube playlist glass fermenter and then had the movies playing on a loop from the Xbox 360. The parodies are really cute. Movies like Cookies of the Caribbean glass fermenter with Captain Snack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean), Lord of the Crumbs (Lord of the Rings), The Hungry Games: Catching Fur (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and several more.
The gift table - We made the “Happy Birthday” banner by printing out a bunch of cookie pictures and then cutting out the letters on a Silhoutte Cameo. We glued the letters to the cookies and then taped the cookies to streamers.
Rather than a big cake, I decided to make the Cookie Monster cupcakes I had seen floating around on Pinterest. They were a big hit at the party! The eyes are mentos with black icing for the pupils, and half a cookie stuck in the icing. I started off using mini Chips Ahoy cookies but they were a little small so once I realized that then I switched to the bigger cookies that I baked and they looked a lot better. I made two different flavors of cupcakes: French Vanilla with a cookie dough filling and dark chocolate with a peanut butter filling. Everyone loved the filling. It’s a little extra surprise inside the cupcakes.
We’ve done big cakes and cupcakes at parties but the nice thing about cupcakes is it’s glass fermenter easier to dish out to everyone rather than standing there and cutting slices for people as they wait in line. I hand them a cupcake, my husband gives them a scoop of ice cream and off they go!
Check your insulin glass fermenter at the door! You can’t have a Cookie Monster glass fermenter birthday party without having several plates of homemade cookies. I also made some homemade fruit salsa with cinnamon tortilla chips and we had pinwheels and a meat and cheese tray. Those are always glass fermenter popular at parties and there is never any left.
Guess How Many Cookies – glass fermenter We filled a jar with Cookie Crisps cereal and put it on the food table. Guests would write their name and guess on a piece of paper and drop it a jar. We put this game by the food table so people could guess throughout the party as they went up to get food or refills. We read the answers out loud and found a winner, who got to take home the whole jar of cookies as a prize. The total count was 690 cookies, though this was unofficial as my husband was in charge of counting the night before and he lost count several times. He claimed glass fermenter he could be off by as much as 100.
Guess the Month – For this game, since it was our son’s glass fermenter first birthday, we put 12 pictures on the wall (Newborn – 11 months) and had the guests pick which month went with which picture. It’s a pretty challenging glass fermenter game because even though babies change a lot in the first year, when you look at a picture glass fermenter of each month it’s really hard to figure out the individual months.
Challenging as it may be, everyone had fun with it. The winner guessed 8 out of the 12 months correct. Her prize was a $5 gift card to Great American Cookie in the mall. You can see an example of the answer sheets we made for everyone below. Print them on card stock so it’s easy for guests glass fermenter to write on while holding it in their hand.
