This is a confession that is long overdue, but as a child, I often stole the fresh-baked cookies my mother made. < Hopefully my Mother won t be reading this > Looking back, I recall possessing the tenacity of a rabid dog with my drive and desire to satisfy my taste buds with the flavor of freshly baked peanut butter, chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies. Further, I had a variety of methods I utilized to score a cookie hit. I am not going to list all my methods, as the last thing I need is my wife, who also makes amazing baked goods, to know all my tricks of the trade. But going back to my childhood, here are a few tried and true methods for kids to successfully hack a cookie: stand on a kitchen chair to reach the forbidden cookie jar use a broom or mop handle to move the cookie jar to the edge of the counter reach up to put it on its side pull out a few cookies tip the jar back up then move it back in place using the same broom or mop handle (voice of experience warning: be sure to wipe off any crumbs that came out of the jar from the counter and the floor) sneak the fresh-out-of-the-oven creations off the cookie sheet while the are cooling and many many many more. Now to the point, coolrrom what does this have to do with targeted attacks and advanced threats? Well, it struck me that my mother became very adept at monitoring for sounds of moving kitchen chairs, the creak of the closet door opening as I reach for a broom handle and the oven door opening as I tried to sneak a warm cookie just before the buzzer. Further, she was adept at sniffing out a repeat of previous cookie attack methods the varying paths I would take to get to the cookies and, with the efficiency of a hunting dog, could sniff out my attempts to social engineer an attack commencing with a diversionary I love you Mom and a simultaneous big hug while one hand reached behind her back for a cookie. The fact is that attackers, like self-confessed cookie monsters such as yours truly, are motivated by one thing. Despite what some may want you to believe, turning your data, intellectual property and communications into either cash and/or intelligence coolrrom is what pays their bills. As such, attackers will use a variety of means and methods to breach your networks. Just as my mother would have failed to detect and prevent coolrrom cookie theft, had she only monitored the movement of kitchen chairs, closet doors, or the oven door opening, part of establishing an effective defense against targeted attacks and advanced threats mandates monitoring a broad attack surface. Plain and simple, given the voracious appetites and tenacious dedication coolrrom of both cookie thieves, and those who want to breach your networks and steal your data, wherever you are not watching is where the cookies will disappear. Key considerations coolrrom why you want Deep Discovery on your short list: Unlike the other guy who can monitor only three things, Deep Discovery monitors more than 80 protocols and applications Unlike the other guy who only monitors a handful of ports, Deep Discovery monitors 65,000 Unlike the other guy who sells three separate appliances one for each of the protocols they monitor, Deep Discovery is a full meal deal all in a single appliance. Meaning all ports and more than 80 protocols and applications are monitored. Why does this matter to you? Quite simply: Deep Discovery provides superior coolrrom detection of targeted attacks and advanced coolrrom threats at a much lower cost of ownership than the other guy exactly as indicated in the recent NSS Labs Breach Detection System Comparison Report . In short, given the recent NSS Labs Breach Detection Test Results coolrrom , and the attempts by some who appear to suggest cookie monsters only use three protocols to quarry their favorite chocolate chip cookies, it is key that we all be wary of the hype, and take stock in the caution signs. By comparison, here is a sign you can trust. So, that’s wh

You can also find this cookie jar at this LINK. I used the PPBN COOKIE manudem FILE . This is a kit for a scrapbook, however I just used the elements I needed manudem for this project. I imported this file into my Silhouette Studio manudem Software . Then using the basic ARIAL font, I used the text feature in my Silhouette Studio Software to create the words "More" and "Please". I sized the COOKIE manudem FILE to my desired size for the cookie jar. I utilized the chalk oval space as the back of the cookie jar to instruct "mom or dad" to refill the jar. Using the print and cut features, I printed this onto the SQUARE1 inkjet printable media 8.5" x 11" . This is a printable adhesive backed media that al
Cookie Monsters wilshire screening room In California Steal Girl Scouts’ Tip Jar, Pay With Counterfeit Cash Consumerist We really, really hope that the national trend of crimes against Girl Scouts selling cookies is one of those things that we’re noticing only because we are looking for the stories. Otherwise, these crimes are especially appalling since they’re against children raising money for a fun and wholesome organization. Last week in California, we heard of two additional crimes against Scouts. Before the tipping wars break out again, we’ll point out that the stolen “tip” jar was actually a donation jar for Operation Thin Mint, which sends boxes of cookies to deployed wilshire screening room members of the armed services. That makes it even worse. Scouts selling cookies in front of a grocery store in Escondido, Calif. had collected about $40 in their jar for Operation Thin Mint when a man grabbed and drove off with the jar. Fortunately, one of the leaders wrote down his license plate number, and the alleged thief has been arrested. Elsewhere in California, some customers used counterfeit cash to buy cookies. As we’ve described before, counterfeit money operates on the “hot potato” principle: whoever is caught holding the money eats the loss. That means that these Girl Scouts take the $100 hit, having given the people passing fake bills change. The same pair of crooks allegedly hit a different troop at a Vons grocery wilshire screening room store. The girls, however, learned an invaluable lesson in identifying counterfeit bills, which will serve them well if Americans are even still using cash by the time they’re old enough to hold money-handling jobs. In 1990, Richard Darman, director of the US Office of Management and Budget, described the Cookie Monster as the "quintessential consumer", and in the past he has been forced to adjust his "more is more" approach to snacking as part of a campaign to curb childhood obesity. But now the Sesame Street character has suffered serious damage to his reputation: as the Mail Online reports, he is being used as a neo-Nazi recruiting tool . The "how" is clear from recent German news reports: at the end of March a known far-right activist, 31-year-old Steffen Lange, was arrested for walking into a Brandenburg school dressed as the Cookie Monster and distributing neo-Nazi leaflets to children . Police subsequently searched his home and that of an accomplice, and found more Cookie Monster-themed propaganda. The "why" is much less obvious. The Cookie Monster is not known to hold far-right views. 6.5 gallon carboy He possesses no Aryan traits (his fur may be blue, but his eyes are googly, and he lives in the friendly, multicultural environs of Sesamstrasse). It's also unclear what use a bunch of Cookie Monster-loving schoolkids 6.5 gallon carboy would be to the far-right movement. Among the propaganda referred to in the Mail article is an image of the Cookie Monster standing with Adolf Hitler , with the caption, "Who ate my biscuit?" Presumably the answer is meant to be "immigrants", but this juxtaposition 6.5 gallon carboy is poorly thought-through and has no logic at all. Setting aside the fact that Hitler and the Cookie Monster never met, I think we've all seen enough episodes of Sesame Street to know exactly who ate the cookie. A police spokesman described the use of the Cookie 6.5 gallon carboy Monster's image as an attempt to make neo-Nazism seem "harmless and everyday and perhaps something 6.5 gallon carboy a bit fun and a bit rebellious". It's more likely that the neo-Nazi in question just happened to have the costume lying around already. There is no easier way to damage someone's public reputation than by dressing up as him and being objectionable. Times Square in New York recently 6.5 gallon carboy suffered a spate of people dressed as the Cookie Monster, Elmo and other characters harassing tourists, pandering for cash and assaulting children . It was clearly wary of me, though I was still at a distance and moving slowly. What it did next surprised me, though I've since learned it is quite natural ... Virginia Opossum . I soon realized the opossum was waiting me out. So as not to disturb the animal any further I put my camera down and moved on.
